Catallaxy Files has picked up on the comparison. I fully agree with the content of the article. However, I was the first to make the comparision between the NBN and the PMG back in August. Credit where credit is due thanks! As I wrote:

We have been here before though. Telstra offered to build the network three years ago but regulatory hurdles stood in its way so the ALP are now offering us a flash from the past, Post Master General Mk II.
