Catallaxy Files has a damning assessment of Gillard’s first election promise to pump $200 million into regional housing. In short, it is another ill-thought out poorly costed building mess coming to a town near you. If Gillard is elected you can be assured that this latest building programme will rank along side the education building programme and houses for remote Aboriginal communities as another over-promised under delivered waste of tax-payers money.
It is also revealing that nobody in the main stream media has bothered to actually check or critique the proposal. It seems journalists in this country have already given up on their profession just two days into the election.
