It has gotten worse

In May 2008 Rudd rolled out a strategy to reduce homelessness with lashings of government money. Back then I predicted the problem would get worse not better as a result of Rudd’s fiscal intervention. Well guess what?

THE Rudd Government has conceded the homeless crisis has worsened since the Prime Minister declared war on a problem he described as being a “national obscenity”.

Not Rudd himself though, only the ‘government.’

    Aren’t you a bit harsh here? We do have priorities in Kruddistan! First we need to pump a few hundered millions of taxpayer money at all the poor nations in Africa and Asia so they can buy more Mercedes Benzes with advanced green technology for their chiefs and ruling clans. We gotta stop that nasty warming, remember?! And then we have to throw a few lazy millions at Indonesia so they can feed all the friendly folk from Sandland and the exTerrs from Ceylon waiting to embark on their fishing vessel – not their fault they are held up enroute to CentreLink, n’est pa? And don’t forget all the squillions we had to spend for more gold crested Red Zora Rememberance Halls in our schools. Kids need to understand early in life where the good things come from! So what are you whinging here about broken promises of our benelovent leader and a handful of homeless Australians? Pathetic, really!
